MILITARY RAINCOAT PONCHO (MRP) is a multifunctional passive camouflage product with an expanded scope of application, as in addition to camouflaging a person, it can be used for thermal camouflage of small arms, artillery weapons and military equipment by combining several samples together with an additional “camouflage screen”, which provides: 1. the ability to change the size in length and width of the structure as needed to adjust to the physical characteristics of the human body and existing military equipment and weapons depending on the tactics of combat operations, and in case of combining several samples together with an additional “camouflage screen”, it can be used for camouflaging small arms, artillery weapons and military equipment; 2. a high level of protection and camouflage of the object from technical devices of thermal or night observation and reconnaissance using UAVs from a distance of more than 30m regardless of weather conditions; 3. reliable protection from the negative effects of electromagnetic RF radiation on the human body during the use of electronic warfare equipment; 4. a high level of comfort for a person at low ambient temperatures, when it is impossible or dangerous to use traditional heating methods or an open fire; 5. high mechanical strength against accidental damage by tree branches, bushes, shrubs, or strong gusts of wind; 6. high wind protection and water impermeability from rain and wet snow; 7. high heat resistance (operating temperature range of application -260 to +700°C, short-term temperature loads up to 750°C are allowed), 8. high fire resistance (class NG, does not support the combustion process at all) and protection of a person from open fire damage during ammunition explosions with flammable substances (white phosphorus). Sequence of human camouflage operations: 1) take out of the packaging cover, unfold and, depending on the existing combat tactics, adjust the desired length of the poncho’s flaps from the front and back using seven double-sided metal buttons along the side cuts, taking into account existing equipment and weapons, the “camouflage screen” can be used as a separate element for camouflaging the face and weapons of a soldier in position, or additionally extend the back of the poncho by attaching it with buttons to the bottom; 2) increase the width of the poncho only in the upper part at the shoulder joint to the length of an outstretched arm using six metal buttons located along the cut line and two on the shoulder line; 3) adjust the size of the air valve openings on the back side (horizontal with three buttons and two vertical with one button) depending on the length of the available weapon according to the following recommendations: the lower the ambient temperature, the smaller the opening size should be set; 4) put on the poncho over existing protective equipment and weapons (it is not recommended to wear the poncho directly on the body), passing the head and arms through the corresponding openings in the upper part of the poncho; 5) connect the front and back side edges vertically using seven buttons on the side cuts; 6) pull the hood over the helmet, tighten the hood along the contour of the face and fix with special fasteners; 7) adjust the height of the protective face mask (over the collar) using symmetrically located openings on both sides and fix with special fasteners. At night, it is recommended to additionally use tactical/ballistic goggles to reduce infrared radiation of the face area at eye level. Sequence of small arms camouflage operations: 1) detach the “camouflage screen” from the back of the poncho and secure it on branches of bushes or trees using a rope passed through four corner strap loops, vertically in front of the chosen position on the terrain, so that the fabric flap is located on the outer side, and the textile fastener with two locks on the back side of the screen; 2) pass the weapon with an optical sight through the central opening to hit targets and adjust the size of the valve opening to the size of the extended weapon with a textile fastener with two locks and inseparable plastic stoppers at the ends. For camouflaging artillery weapons and military equipment in position, depending on the size of the object, several ponchos are used, which are combined with each other using double-sided buttons located along the perimeter of the poncho (side edges and along the edges of the flaps from the front and back sides) with the addition of a “camouflage screen” in the desired place of the formed covering fabric. Care. Does not require the use of detergents. The outer and inner camouflage layers are impregnated with a special waterproof solution, so in case of contamination, the surface should be washed with ordinary water from any source, or wait for the dirt to dry and shake it off the surface. WARNING! The camouflage properties of the poncho deteriorate if there is no circulation (convection) through the air valves on the back of the poncho between the inner space of the poncho and the external environment in the following cases: 1) the poncho is worn over outerwear without a bulletproof vest, helmet and equipment; 2) the poncho is worn indoors in a building without natural air circulation; 3) before the first use, the surface was not washed with water to remove electrostatic charge, which can form on the surface of multilayer material during its manufacture or transportation. ATTENTION! It should be understood that the poncho is only a successful means of thermal camouflage with limited functional application capabilities and therefore one should not expect supernatural abilities of a magical “invisibility cloak” from it.
