Referral attribution: how Faktorist tracks who you referred

Understanding how referral attribution works helps you ensure you get credit for every referral.
How Attribution Works
- When someone clicks your referral link, a tracking cookie is stored in their browser.
- The cookie contains your UAmbassador ID and a timestamp.
- If they register within the attribution window, you are credited as the referrer.
Attribution Window
The default attribution window is 90 days. If someone clicks your link today and registers any time in the next 90 days, you receive credit.
Edge Cases
- Multiple ambassadors — if a user clicks multiple referral links, the last click before registration gets the credit.
- Direct registration — if someone registers without clicking any referral link, no ambassador is credited.
- Cleared cookies — if the user clears their browser cookies before registering, attribution may be lost. Encourage contacts to register soon after clicking.
Verifying Attribution
Once a referral registers, they appear in your Referred Companies list within minutes. If you believe a referral is missing, contact support with details.
