Messaging System
Faktorist includes a built-in messaging system for direct buyer-supplier communication.
Starting a Conversation
Click the Message button on any supplier or buyer profile, or from a product listing page. Type your message and send. The recipient receives both an in-app notification and an email alert.
Conversation Threads
All messages with a contact are grouped into a single thread. Access your conversations from Dashboard → Messages. Threads show the full history and are searchable.
Messaging Within RFQs
Each RFQ has a dedicated Q&A section where buyers and suppliers can discuss requirements, ask for clarifications, and negotiate terms. RFQ messages are visible to all invited parties.
Best Practices
- Be specific about your requirements in the first message.
- Include relevant product names, quantities, and delivery locations.
- Respond promptly — suppliers who reply within 24 hours get a Fast Responder badge.
