Importing contacts from a CSV file

If you have an existing contact list in a spreadsheet, you can import it into the Faktorist CRM in bulk using a CSV file.
Preparing Your CSV
Your CSV file should include the following columns (order does not matter):
- name (required) — Full name of the contact.
- company (required) — Company name.
- email (required) — Contact email address.
- phone — Phone number with country code.
- country — Country name or ISO 2-letter code.
- position — Job title or role.
- tags — Comma-separated tags (e.g., "apparel, EU market").
- notes — Any additional context.
Importing
- Go to CRM → Contacts and click Import.
- Upload your CSV file.
- Map your CSV columns to Faktorist fields using the column mapper.
- Preview the first 5 rows to verify mapping is correct.
- Click Import. A progress bar shows the import status.
Duplicate Handling
The system checks for duplicates by email address. If a matching email is found, you can choose to skip, update, or create a new record. We recommend Update to enrich existing contacts with new data without creating duplicates.
