Tagging and segmenting your contacts

Tags are custom labels you attach to contacts for fast filtering and segmentation. They are flexible — create any tags that match your workflow.
Creating Tags
- Open any contact card and click + Add Tag in the Tags section.
- Type a tag name (e.g., "apparel", "VIP", "follow-up needed"). If the tag already exists, it appears as a suggestion.
- Press Enter to apply. You can add multiple tags to a single contact.
Managing Tags
Go to CRM → Settings → Tags to see all existing tags, rename them, merge duplicates, or delete unused ones. Deleting a tag removes it from all contacts — no contact records are deleted.
Filtering by Tag
In the contacts table, click Filter → Tags and select one or more tags. Only contacts matching the selected tags appear. Combine tag filters with other filters (country, status, assigned team member) for precise segmentation.
Suggested Tag Strategy
- Source tags — "trade show", "website inquiry", "referral".
- Product tags — "textiles", "machinery", "food".
- Status tags — "hot lead", "negotiating", "dormant".
- Market tags — "EU", "MENA", "North America".
