Contact requests: connecting with buyers and suppliers

On Faktorist, a contact request is the first step to establishing a direct relationship with another user. It works similarly to a connection request on professional networks.
Sending a Contact Request
- Visit the company or user profile you want to connect with.
- Click Connect (or Send Contact Request).
- Optionally add a short personal message explaining why you want to connect — this significantly increases acceptance rates.
- Click Send.
Receiving a Contact Request
When someone sends you a request, you will see a notification badge on the CRM tab and receive an email notification. Open CRM → Requests to review pending requests.
- Click Accept to add the person to your contacts. You can now exchange messages and share detailed pricing.
- Click Decline if the request is not relevant. The sender is not notified of a decline.
Tips
- Review the sender's company profile before accepting — check their verification status, product categories, and activity.
- Accepted contacts appear immediately in your CRM with a linked activity timeline.
- You can withdraw a sent request before it is accepted by going to CRM → Requests → Sent.
